Sometimes, people who are already in the habit of working out can fall into a different trap: complacency.
We find ourselves wandering into the gym or putting on our running shoes like a zombie, and then just aimlessly stumbling through our workouts. Each workout is a clone of last week’s. Numbers stay the same. Progress stalls. We aren’t progressing toward our goals anymore, and we edge toward discouragement.
Sometimes, just a shift in mindset can help. Commit to this: whatever you do, track it, and try to beat every number. Really, every one. Is it likely to happen? No. But going in with some intensity greatly enhances your chances of hitting at least a few new numbers, and that is direct progress.
Hitting new personal bests can make you feel awesome. Sometimes, it can take a couple of weeks to bump the numbers up. Don’t get disillusioned. Keep pushing.
You will do this.
Share below what new numbers you hit last week, and if you need a little help, message me and let’s chat! I do this for a living by choice!
